We are thrilled to offer Suzuki piano instruction at The Music Room! Learn more about the Suzuki method here. Bethany Nikstad is certified in units 1-6 of the Suzuki Piano Method.
Suzuki instruction allows us to work with beginners as young as age 4. Parents are involved with the child’s learning, assisting with practice at home and attending lessons with the child. To help parents with this task, we’re offering a free parent training! We use the book Beyond the Music Lesson by Christine Goodner as a launching point for a discussion of how to help your child be successful in piano study and how to help everyone to enjoy the process. Parents: expect to learn to play the first piece in the book! Parent training is typically done in 3 or 4 30-minute sessions before the child starts instruction.
