TUITION SCHEDULE

We charge a flat tuition rate for the school year, lessons taught between August 20, 2023 and May 31, 2024.

Tuition is due in monthly installments via auto-draft on the first of the month September-May, or students may prepay for the semester by cash, check, or credit card.  There is a $12 registration fee per semester. Longer lessons incur a surcharge outlined below.

Lesson length Semester Tuition Monthly Installments
30 minutes $642 $142.67
45 minutes $957 $212.67
60 minutes $1272 $282.67

PAYMENT OPTIONS

If students pay monthly, tuition must be paid via auto-draft. If paying for the semester, payment options include cash, check, bank account draft, and credit cards. If you wish to pay by credit card, request an invoice. We will email you a link to pay online through our credit card processor, Intuit.

SCHEDULE CONFLICTS

While schedule conflicts are inevitable, please do not schedule appointments that conflict with your lesson time. Please limit absences to unavoidable conflicts, such as with your school choir concert.  If you have an unavoidable conflict, contact your teacher well in advance about scheduling a make-up lesson. Conflicts due to birthday parties, sports, play-dates, etc. will not be made up.

NO CALL, NO SHOW:

Lessons cancelled without 24 hours’ notice are forfeited.

ILLNESS

Please help your teacher avoid illness by canceling your lesson if you are ill. If a student did not attend school that day due to illness, they should not attend their lesson. Students should be fever-free for 24 hours before attending a lesson. Illness is the exception to the rule requiring 24 hours’ notice on a cancelled lesson. If the student is feeling better but might still be contagious, please utilize a virtual lesson.

MAKE-UP LESSONS

Make up lessons are subject to limited studio and teacher availability. You may be offered 2-3 times. Students who will consider a virtual lesson will have more schedule options for make up lessons.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

If you feel unsafe traveling to your lesson, contact your teacher about having a lesson virtually. Students who decline a virtual lesson will not be offered a make up time.

ENDING STUDY

If you decide that it is time to end your study, please give your teacher two weeks’ notice. This gives the student and teacher a chance to say goodbye and assure the student they are leaving on good terms. We are not able to give refunds on tuition that has already been paid.

PERFORMANCES

We encourage all students to perform in the Fall and Spring studio recitals. Additional Performance opportunities (Arch Cup, Federation Festival, etc.) are available.

It is an honor to teach your child. We promise to do our best to help them learn their instrument and enjoy the journey.

I GOT IT

  • I will avoid scheduling appointments that conflict with my scheduled lesson.
  • I understand that The Music Room will not adjust tuition for cancelled lessons, but will arrange to make up missed lesson in advance instead.
  • I understand that a student needs to be fever-free for 24 hours to attend their lesson.
  • I understand that school cancellation for inclement weather does not mean my lesson is cancelled.
  • I understand that my options for missed lessons may be limited to a virtual lesson, and that if I decline a virtual lesson, the lesson is forfeited.
  • I understand that tuition is due by the ninth of each month.
  • I understand that I need to give two weeks’ notice when I want to end study.
